Empower Children With Cancer Through Story
A cancer diagnosis is scary, especially for children.
Hi! I’m Sarah Bankuti, a mom to a brave girl who was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 10 months old. I searched for books that would prepare her, in her own words — something she could relate to. But there wasn’t one. There were no quality picture book series geared towards children with cancer.
I created this book series — an empowering story about a brave princess with cancer inspired by my daughter Alice. A fun and engaging series that kids will want to read, and that will help them with what they are going through. Thank you for joining me on this journey to help empower and strengthen our children.
These important books/plushies reflect the lived experiences of children with serious illnesses, and they cost money to print and produce. I need your support! Together, we can make a difference in the lives of so many children.
These books are not just for children with cancer or serious illnesses. Please help me spread awareness and empathy by choosing these for your children, your grandchildren, even if they don’t have cancer. Instead of kids pointing at my daughter when she loses her hair, I want her peers to think: “Oh look! She must be brave warrior just like Princess Lily!”
